The MTN Energade Cycling Team is managed and owned by Ryder Cycling of which the sole Director is Douglas Ryder. 

Doug has been involved in managing and owning professional cycling teams for the past 10 years. He represented South Africa at the Atlanta Olympic Games and numerous World Championships. He has captained the South African National Road Cycling Team (1993 - 2002) in major cycling races in both South Africa and internationally. He is a previous winner of the Pick ‘n Pay Cape Argus Cycle Tour.

The MTN Energade Professional Cycling Team is the number one team in South Africa today and enjoys a large following. The team consists of a UCI Continental Men's Team, a UCI Continental Women's Team, a MTB Team, track riders and a BMX Rider.

We have invested in technology (SRM) and dedicated coaching (Activeworx) to strive to be the best in the World. We look for talented individuals across the continent of Africa and assit them in all means possible to reach their goals of being World Champions. As a business we have partenered with the UCI and the African Continental Cycling Centre (ACCC) to give opportunities to the talented riders in Africa.

The team's objective is to cost effectively promote its sponsors and its partners in social, sports and development contexts whilst extending the reach of the sponsors brand amongst its target market of business decision makers.
